Inclusion of refugees into the German Education system – lessons learned from 2015 with Dr. Seyran Bostanci

Dr. des Seyran Bostancı is working as a research assistant on Democracy, Transfer and Policy Advise at the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM). She did her phd on “Education – Discrimination – Inclusion. Transformation Processes in Postmigrant Societies” at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

Before she was a research assistant at the Institute for Social Sciences at the department of Diversity and Social Conflict at the Humboldt University of Berlin. She is currently researching the topic of “Institutional Racism in Daycare Centers” (pilot study of the Racism Monitor at DeZIM). In addition, she has been a teacher for diversity, inclusion processes and anti-bias-education in educational institutions since 2010.

Her main research interests and teaching include the following topics: migration, educational inequality, diversity, racism, inclusion, early childhood and civil society.

This event is being held virtually on Wednesday, June 22th.
