Experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in E. Timor with Jaymi Smith

Jaymi Smith graduated from Penn State Berks with a degree in Global Studies in Spring 2023. Currently, she is serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Timor-Leste, a small island in Southeast Asia.
In her presentation, she will share her experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer, including what it’s like to live and work in a completely different culture, the challenges and rewards of living in a less developed country, and the important lessons she has learned about herself along the way. She will also introduce you to the rich culture and history of Timor-Leste, a place many may not yet be familiar with.
