Adrian Grieve moved to United States from Scotland in 1985 after graduating with a degree in Social Work. He became a Red Cross disaster volunteer as a direct result of the December 1988 Pan Am 103 crash in his hometown of Lockerbie, Scotland. He subsequently joined as a paid employee in 1992, serving in multiple roles including Regional Disaster Officer and Executive Director. Adrian is currently the Central Atlantic Division Disaster State Relations Director serving DC, DE, MD, VA, and FEMA Region III. He has responded to over 30 large disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and wildfires and hundreds of local home fires. Adrian specializes in responding to mass casualty incidents such as the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Camp Fire in CA, the Uvalde, TX school shooting and most recently, the Maui Wildfires, as well as transportation incidents such as the United flight 93 crash in Shanksville, PA on September 11, 2001, and more recently the Amtrak derailments in Philadelphia and DuPont, WA.
