Jayson Casper is the Middle East correspondent for Christianity Today, resident since 2019 with his family of six in Beirut, Lebanon. Prior to that he reported from Cairo, Egypt since 2011, and has lived additionally in Jordan, Tunisia, and Mauritania. He is seconded through IDEAS, an organization connecting skilled Christian professionals with educational and development opportunities throughout the world. Competent in Arabic and with a degree in Islamic Studies, Jayson reports at the intersection of religion, politics, and culture, thankful for his role in bringing understanding between misunderstood peoples.
