SUMMARY:Experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in E. Timor with Jaymi Smith
DESCRIPTION:This is a zoom presentation \nJaymi Smith graduated from Penn State Berks with a degree in Global Studies in Spring 2023. Currently\, she is serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Timor-Leste\, a small island in Southeast Asia. \nIn her presentation\, she will share her experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer\, including what it’s like to live and work in a completely different culture\, the challenges and rewards of living in a less developed country\, and the important lessons she has learned about herself along the way. She will also introduce you to the rich culture and history of Timor-Leste\, a place many may not yet be familiar with. \nIf you have ever considered becoming a volunteer or are simply interested in the process and experiences of a Peace Corps volunteer\, we invite you to join Jaymi for this presentation.  She looks forward to sharing her journey. \nThis is a virtual presentation co-sponsored with Penn State Berks. \nClick here to register for this event now.
