SUMMARY:Understanding the Current Palestinian and Israeli Conflict
DESCRIPTION:The World Affairs Council of Greater Reading will hold a moderated panel discussion Wednesday\, January 17\, 2024\, 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the McGlinn Conference Center\, Alvernia University\, 460 Saint Bernadine Street\, Reading\, PA. Educator Tod D. Witman will review the long 4\,000 year history of the area followed in succeeding order by Brian Chartock\, Chief Executive Officer\, the Jewish Federation of Reading and Rubina Tareen\, Outreach Coordinator\, the Islamic Center of Reading. The three panelist each will have 8-10 minutes to present followed by question and answer with the audience. \nThis event will be held at 4:30pm on January 17th at the McGlinn Conference Center and simulcast via Zoom Webinar\nRegister to attend live at the McGlinn Conference Center\n– OR –\nAttend the Zoom Webinar Virtually \nThere is no charge to attend.\nThere will be a free-will offering at the event for those who wish to contribute.\nRegistration is strongly encouraged.
